Intel Beacon Mountain v 0.5 Out at Google I/O

Announced today at Google I/O,  Intel Development Products team  launched a comprehensive development environment for creating applications for Intel® AtomTM and ARM*-based devices running Android* operating systems. Beacon Mountain v0.5 provides development environment setup and maintenance for 64-bit host development systems running Windows* 7 and 8 with support for OSX* systems targeted for release by the end of June.

The key features supported with this release  (Beacon Mountain v 0.5):

  • Installation of common third-party tools, along with Intel tools to create a development environment on the host system for creating Android* applications.
  • Beacon Mountain installs everything a developer needs with a few clicks, allowing the developer to start creating faster.
  • Support for Windows 7 and 8 host systems, with OSX targeted to be added by the end of June
